Fresh baked goods, tons of options including salads and sandwiches, with excellent service! Convenient Rockefeller Center location. We will be back to sample more. OK, we came back! The soft pretzels are my personal favorite...fresh and doughy! They will heat them up for you, or if you taking them home you can pop them in the oven. Cheesecake is quite good as well. Shout out for the GREAT SERVICE!!

Dear all my black sesame folks, Black Sesame Babka is here, but only in March! Breads Bakery has worked together with Molly Yeh to curate this life-changing, indulgent treat. I loved it so much that I recommended my friends to buy together! *Black Sesame Babka ($17.50 each, $30 for two) They generously stuff the babka with so much black sesame paste. The rich, nutty black sesame filling pairs perfectly with the sweetness of slightly melted, crunchy chocolate. The top achieves a golden-brown, flaky perfection. The buttery and toasted flavor somehow reminds me of shredded coconut filling in hong kong style cocktail bun (雞尾包). I’m not someone with a big sweet tooth, but this black sesame babka totally won me over. I heated up the babka in toaster oven at 350°F for 7 minutes—chef’s kiss. I was very surprised the baking sheet wasn’t drenched in oil. In fact, there was no oil at all and the babka didn’t feel oily either. They’ve truly mastered the art of making babka.

Didn’t know where to start in this store. Everything looked so delicious yet, I wasn’t hungry enough for lunch, as I had been noshing all day. I know…rookie mistake! Anyways, I made the adult decision, albeit difficult, to choose only two treats. The rugelach was a great call. This might be the all time best rugelach in New York. Very happy with that decision. We ended up going to their location in Bryant Park later on in our trip because we liked it so much.

The best oatmeal cookies in NYC. We had a salad for $17, tzatziki and baguette, two black coffees, and cookies. So the healthy, filling dinner for two was around $40. Thanks! P.S. It was a rainy, cold day and my butt was in heaven because I sat on the bench with a radiator. ;-)

Breads Bakery never disappoints! Their chocolate babka is rich, perfectly swirled, and absolutely worth the hype, and the carrot cake is incredibly moist and flavorful. Unsurprisingly, the chocolate babka was sold out, so I settled for the banana chocolate chip cake instead. If it’s anything like everything else they make, I know it’s going to be amazing!

So much yumminess in one place. The pastries are soft, airy and have a honeycomb texture. No wonder they won so many croissant awards. Absolute perfection.

Staff was very nice. They do have some seats to sit down and enjoy. We had chocolate croissants and cheesecake. Both were great. Worth stopping by when in this area.

★★★★★ Bread Story was such a wonderful surprise in New York City ☕🥐 The coffee was excellent — smooth, rich, and perfectly comforting alongside their pastries. But the real star for me was the croissant: incredibly crunchy and flaky on the outside, while the inside stayed soft, buttery, and beautifully layered. Exactly the kind of texture a great croissant should have. I also tried the Jerusalem bagel stick, and it was absolutely outstanding — flavorful, unique, and something I’d gladly come back for again. Such a pleasure discovering a little gem like this in NYC. A perfect place to slow down, enjoy great coffee, and appreciate really good bread and pastries. I did!!! Back again for their croissant and coffee, hehehe
